Advanced Wine Tasting: Sensory Analysis -- March 23, 2019, 1-3 pm

Have you always wanted to be one of those folks who can say, “I’m picking up a hint of cassis in this wine”?  This class will start you on the path to being able to say stuff like that with confidence...and actually know what you're talking about!

What You'll Learn

In the Advanced Wine Tasting class we’ll dive deeper into the aromas and tastes associated with different types of wines.  Building on what you learned in our Intro class (although not a pre-requisite) you'll learn how to identify different levels of acids, sugars and tannins in wine and how they work harmonisly together (or not).

You’ll then learn how to identify the most comment aromas of both red and white wines using a sensory panel of "spiked" wines.  Finally, you'll apply all of this knowledge to tasting and identifying blinded wines.

We're excited about this class.  Of all the wine clases I've taken, I've always found the sensory classes the most fun and useful.  Not only will you be training your noses to identify the different wine aromas, but we'll be fine turning ours with the same sensory panels of wines.

What You Need to Bring

Just you senses.  You can take this class on its own, but the Intro class will be helpful.

The class will be held Saturday March 23, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Wineworks. The price for this class is a reasonable $25 per person. As you might guess, seating is limited so act now! If you'd like to attend, just click the link below to sign-up.
